Currently in his fourth year as President of the Culver City Downtown Business Association, Darrel has been in charge of leading the development of downtown Culver City while preserving its quality of life for those who live, work and play downtown.
Vice Chair, Culver City Finance Advisory Committee
Appointed by the current City Council, this group of Culver City residents, businesspeople, labor and school representatives advises the City Council on financial matters to make sure all those who live and work in Culver City are served fairly and equally.
100th Anniversary Celebration
Helped the City celebrate its 100th anniversary as Vice President and Treasurer of the Culver City Centennial Celebration.
Annual Tree Lighting
Host and Organizer of Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, a family and environmentally friendly event that is a beloved annual tradition in Culver City.
Street Closure for Restaurants
Fought for the street closure in downtown that has allowed restaurants to continue to operate with outdoor dining – maintaining jobs and the community character that makes living here so special.
Dedicated Bike/Bus Lanes
Worked to implement Culver City’s first dedicated bus/bike lane as part of his ongoing commitment to get people out of their cars and help alleviate traffic and air pollution.
